James P. Trainor received his J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1990, his M.S. in Business Administration from Boston University in 1985, and his B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1981. Mr. Trainor serves as general counsel for the Town of Stillwater, the Town of Galway, the Clifton Park Water Authority and the Clifton Park IDA. He has also served as Special Counsel to the Town of Ballston and the Town of Clifton Park for eminent domain projects. His private practice concentrates in the areas of business law, town law, land use, real estate and litigation. He also has extensive experience in wills, bankruptcy, eminent domain, military law, criminal defense and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Trainor is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves Judge Advocate General’s Corps and currently assists young men and women gain admission to West Point as a Liaison Officer for the USMA Admissions Office and three area Congressional Districts. He is active in veterans legal counseling and as a religious liberty advocate for the Alliance Defending Freedom.

Ryan P. Pezzulo is a founding member of Trainor, Pezzulo & DeSanto, PLLC and practices extensively in the areas of municipal law, planning and zoning, civil litigation, and real estate.
He has experience with both civil and criminal matters along with representing the interests of local small businesses and other corporate clients. Mr. Pezzulo serves as general counsel to the Town of Hoosick, and as special counsel and planning board attorney for the Town of Stillwater and the Town of Galway.
Mr. Pezzulo attended Adelphi University, graduating in 2011 with a B.A. in English Literature. Thereafter, he attended Syracuse University College of Law and was admitted to practice in 2015. Prior to becoming a member of the firm, Mr. Pezzulo was an associate from 2017-2019 and was named Senior Associate in 2020.
Mr. Pezzulo is native to Saratoga County where he resides with his wife and their children. He is also the attorney-advisor to the Burnt Hills – Ballston Lake High School Mock Trial Team.
He is admitted in all New York State Courts and in the Northern and Southern Districts of New York and is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and the Saratoga County Bar Association.

Diana C. DeSanto is a founding member of Trainor, Pezzulo & DeSanto, PLLC and joined the firm as an associate attorney in September 2021. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Assistant District Attorney in Albany County, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony criminal matters.
She received a B.A. in Political Science from the University at Albany, SUNY and received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School.
Ms. DeSanto practices extensively in the areas of estate administration, municipal law, business law, and criminal defense, among other areas of the firm’s practice. She is the lead partner in the firm’s criminal law and Second Amendment practice areas. Ms. DeSanto is general counsel to the Town of Prattsville and special counsel and zoning board attorney for the Town of Stillwater and the Town of Galway.
Ms. DeSanto is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts as well as the Northern District of New York. She is also a member of the New York State, Saratoga County and Albany County Bar Associations.
Ms. DeSanto enjoys the many amenities the Capital Region has to offer and being able to use her legal skills to better assist those in her community.
